Raised subframe platforms that allow you to board your loft for storage without squashing or destroying your 270mm–300mm insulation.
Never Board Directly Onto Ceiling Joists
Standard loft joists are only 75mm–100mm deep. Screwing boards directly onto joists squashes 300mm insulation down to 100mm, destroying up to 60% of its insulation effectiveness and trapping moisture.
Our raised subframes (using strong engineering legs like Loftleg) raise the boarding floor safely above the full 300mm insulation layer, leaving a crucial ventilation airflow gap underneath.
