Loft Insulation Installation
Full first-layer mineral or natural wool installation for uninsulated or bare loft floors, fitted to recommended 270mm–300mm depths.
What a First Installation Involves
If your loft floor has no existing insulation or only sparse remnants, a complete installation establishes a continuous thermal barrier across your top-floor ceilings.
- Base 100mm layer fitted snugly between joists without gaps
- Cross-layered 170mm or 200mm top roll laid at right angles to bridge cold spots
- Eaves ventilation baffles fitted to ensure eaves airflow remains unblocked
- Loft hatch insulated and draught-sealed for a complete barrier
